The Annihilation of Caste Reading Group is a global initiative sponsored and supported by the National Campaign for Dalit Human Rights. It was initiated by students at Columbia University, an institution significant as Ambedkar’s Alma mater,in the spring of 2013, in order to challenge casteism and promote a better understanding of caste struggles in India.
We hold bi-monthly Skype sessions with Activists at the forefront of humanitarian struggles in India in order to further the understanding of anti-caste discourse amongst budding academics. We will be starting our second chapter at Brandeis University this fall. The group is open to students ONLY and aimed exclusively at those students who seek to end caste and all other forms of default discrimination.
